 Dokeos is an elearning delivery system with course management web application and collaboration tool. It is free software released under the GNU /GPL. It is also OSI certified and can be used as a content management system for educational purposes. Dokeos is written in PHP and uses MySQL as a database and is SCORM compliant making it pretty user-friendly.
The development of Dokeos is an international project to which several universities, schools, and other organizations and individuals contribute. Its development methodology takes elements from extreme programming, usability theory, and collaborative open source development, specifically it being very, very open.
